Life is all about choices. We were given the ability to make choices. Love allows freewill. Decisions make us who we are. God intended it that way. He also desires for us to choose Him.
“Mark 4:7, 18-19 KJV – 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. … 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the Word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”
We can get overwhelmed by the amount of choices we can make. We truly can create our own destiny. However, our own choices can get us in trouble. God has all the wisdom to lead and guide us. He knows what’s ahead, and He knows what traps the enemy has laid for you. The danger is when we can get caught up in this colorful world and lose track of God.
The good news is that God is faithful. We can always return to the center and see He’s constantly good. Be encouraged by these verses.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV – 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
James 1:17 KJV – 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Matthew 7:11 KJV – 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?
John 10:32 KJV – 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
God’s perfect Gold Standard for our life is still attainable. No matter how far off we’ve strayed we can return to the Gold Standard God has for us. Nothing can change His plans for us. “Romans 11:29 KJV – 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” The gifts He’s given you are more than enough to accomplish His will on Earth. The godly desires He’s placed in you won’t cease. Even when life seems like a giant kaleidoscope, with no rhyme, reason, or path to speak of, He’s always ready to lead you. You can return to the center and find Him waiting for you. His path is straight and direct. His way is the source of truth. His road is much easier to travel than that of our own. Let’s be mindful to walk on the path of God’s Gold Standard.
“Father, we humbly come to You. Lord, we’ve made mistakes and wrong turns. We have not been faithful all the time. Jesus, help us to stay centered in You. Show us Your true pathway for us to walk. We rely on Your Word for our guidance. You are faithful to lead us into Your goodness. Father, we commit our gifts and talents to You. We wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for You creating us in our mother’s womb! We are grateful we get to experience life with You. You are the best, God. We trust in Your mighty hand to direct us in the way of righteousness. We praise You, God, for all that You’re doing in our lives! We thank You again and again. In Jesus’ name, we commit this prayer. Amen.”
