You can’t earn a free gift. Grace was purchased with Jesus’ blood but He did it of His freewill. He worked exceedingly hard so we wouldn’t have to. In fact, He was the only One who could have fulfilled the law.
Because He fulfilled the law, death could have no grip on Him. His right was eternal life since no sin ever touched Him. He extends this free gift of grace to anyone who will believe. We cannot earn grace, we can only receive it with thankful hearts.
He freely gave Himself for all, and He expects us to freely give His life too. We share His Word, we share His love, we share His grace with those around us. We freely give the hope He has given us. Who wouldn’t want a free gift that is worth more than anything else?!
