Even when preached from an impure source, the Gospel is still powerful. We’ve all heard the history of preachers falling from grace. But all the work they did until that happened was still good. Christ was preached. People were healed and set free. People accepted Jesus into their lives.
It’s not a good thing what they succumbed to but that doesn’t invalidate the power of Christ. Only Jesus was perfect. We’ve all made mistakes but they don’t define us. All the people that were helped along the way was not for naught. When Christ is preached, even sarcastically or jokingly, He still has power. He’s still planting seeds. His Word will not return void but shall accomplish His good pleasure and prosper where it’s sent.
