Lifted Hands

Lifted Hands

There is an innate response when we are happy, excited or joyful to raise our hands up. It’s like joy bubbles from the inside up and it escapes through our arms. Why would that be?
I believe it’s because our bodies are designed to worship. When they experience goodness, they raise up their hands to show gratitude to the Creator. What other reason would we have? David loved to praise and lift his hands to God. Many times people would bow down and raise their hands to Him. Where did they get such an idea? Because it’s an automatic response that was programmed a long time ago.
Lifting your hands up, amazingly, makes you feel closer to God. It’s an outward sign that you‘re standing up for God and thanking Him for His providence. Let His joy so flow through you that you live a life of thankfulness! Raise your hands and praise Him!
