Christmas time is upon us
The season about Christ
Our Gift from God: unwrapped
In manger He was born without fanfare
Until the angels sang out their cheer
Join with them to present a gift of praise
Hear the wind breathing in excitement
See the stars gleaming in exultation
The clouds could not withhold their joy
Righteousness pours from the sky
See all nature robed in white
The snowy landscape reflects His glory
No value could be placed on Him
What gift could compare to Him?
God’s own Son has appeared
Love manifested in swaddling clothes
King Jesus is here to save
To lay His life down to rescue us all
As we dress trees in sparkling array
We are reminded of our fallen state
He traded His raiment for our dirty rags
His back was adorned with stripes for our healing
He took the cross for our sin and shame
He died and was buried in a grave
Turn the tree on and see the lights shine
His life could not be captured by darkness
He burst out of the tomb on the third day
He walked out with victory in His hand
He brought back a bag of gifts from Heaven for us
To freely distribute to any who will accept
Look at the presents beneath the tree
Every perfect gift is from Him
Only goodness is laid up for us
Remember the peace and joy He’s given you
Be grateful for all He’s done for you
Worship Him because He is faithful
His sacrifice paid the greatest price
To purchase your salvation
An invaluable gift for His beloved
Here today on Christmas morning
Unwrap each gift with excitement
Knowing that everyday, we’ll be opening new gifts from Jesus
