Pressure getting to me
Troubles overtaking me
My mind is racing fast
Looking for a way out
Yet I don’t see any now
Then Your voice like a flood comes rushing in
A peace I can’t explain comes crashing in
I remember what You said

These common trains of thought
Try to get me off my track
Fearful imaginations
Trying to build up strongholds
It’s taking all my strength to hold them off
Then Your Word like a lightning bolt electrifies my mind
Warmth and abiding comfort rests all over me
I know my authority
I know I’m safe in Jesus
I’m casting these thoughts away

No worry and no anxiety
I trust in God who has good in store for me
I know His Word of grace will ever be
No circumstance or happenstance can ever change me
