Your words are your sword. The Greek word for sword is, “distomos.” The base of that word is, “stoma,” which means, “mouth.” The words you speak are you swinging the Sword of God.
To be a good swordsman you must train. You need to learn to swing your sword. It takes many years of diligent instruction to learn swordsmanship. You’ll make the same repetitive movements until it becomes muscle memory.
It takes years of studying the Word of God to wield your sword efficiently and effectively. Just like anything else, the more you do it the more skilled you’ll get. You’ll be able to recall the Word of God quicker and speak it more confidently as you study.
Don’t neglect your training! You need to know what the Word of God says so you are not deceived by the god of this world. Your entire life depends on how well you wield the Sword of God. Make it a priority! Pray, seek God, read the Bible, meditate on verses, and speak out what Jesus has provided for you. Hone your swordsmanship!
