It’s good to know that God guides us. We are His sheep and we follow His voice (John 10:4). His voice leads us into peace. We can rely on His goodness and mercy to help us at all times (Psalms 23:6).
I like to use the app, “Waze.” Waze is a mapping tool. It’s free to use and has many features. What I enjoy about it, even if I know exactly where I am going, Waze will point out obstacles in my path, which gives me time to prepare my response. In relation to Holy Spirit, He will warn us of things to come! (John 16:13). He reveals to us the plans and schemes of Satan to redirect us away (John 16:33).
Waze will direct me in the quickest path to my destination just in case something like road construction, accidents, or heavy traffic slows down the normal path. Just like Holy Spirit, He will redirect us to the most safe and efficient path to His desired future for us (Proverbs 4:20-27). He knows the routes better than we do. He knows all the shortcuts!
When I make a wrong turn (happens to all of us), Waze will find the quickest way to get me back on the desired track. Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, and when we make wrong decisions, He will show us how to get back on the right path (John 14:26). We can trust His love for us. He won’t ever lead us astray (Psalms 16:11)!
Be assured, God has your best future in mind (Jeremiah 29:11). He has not left us without guidance; follow His signs (Psalms 119:105). Follow the directions of your internal GPS, Holy Spirit, and you shall be established in truth and love.
“Lord, I thank You for Your love toward me. I have taught my heart to trust You. I can hear You voice because I am a follower of You, Jesus. I shall never be ashamed of my hope in You. As I draw closer and delight myself in You, You’ll give me Your desires for my life. The desires that make the most sense for the talents, abilities, and giftings You have placed in me. I’m grateful for the Word of God’s influence on my life. I will continue to be diligent in my study and meditation of scripture. I thank You God, for everything good that You have planned for me to walk in. I choose the path of life and deny the one of destruction. Holy Spirit, I thank You for guiding me into all truth and understanding of Your ways. I trust that You will help me avoid all the traps and deceptions of Satan, so that I will walk on the path safely, securely, and confidently toward a wonderful future beyond what I can even think. I commit my way to following after you, Lord. Thank You for getting me on track and for leading me always in every circumstance and situation. Amen.”
